In Hex, you play as a lowly demon, a mere succubus, who manages to possess the body of a powerful mage. However, the body’s former soul still clings to the vessel, threatening to bend the succubus to her will instead. But things aren’t exactly as they seem, and the two souls will be forced to make the most of their unwitting partnership if they are to survive. Oh, and thanks to being a succubus you have to fuck to regenerate MP!
Gameplay and Features
Hex is an erotic visual novel and text-based game with RPG, sandbox, and simulation elements. The game features the following major features:
- Fight with an arsenal of spells. Fight enemies by using a variety of interesting spells with unique effects in dynamic and deep turn-based battles. Spells can also be used to solve various problems outside of combat.
- Fuck and flirt with everyone. Have tons of hot sex with a variety of NPCs in a variety of different ways, both to restore magical energy, to earn money as a prostitute, or just to watch your "roommate" squirm.
- Explore a reactive world. NPCs will react to your reputation, your state of dress, and your level of hygiene. The weather, time of day, and even the moon will influence the power of your spells. Your actions and decisions will be reflected in the story and world around you.
- Create and share servants online for fun and profit. The game features an asynchronous online multiplayer system where players can create and customize NPC servants that will visit other players online to engage in business and pleasure.
Fetishes and Kinks in Hex
Hex features a variety of kinks and fetishes, with many more planned to be included in the future. The main focus of the game is exhibitionism and voyeurism as well as corruption mostly in regard to the second soul the protagonist shares a body with.
The game also includes (or is planned to include) the following:
- vaginal, anal, and oral sex
- foot fetish content
- lesbian sex
- gangbang and group sex content*
- watersports
- bukkake and cum play

Most of the content enumerated above is optional or can be avoided! The game also features a yuri mode that allows players to ignore and avoid almost all straight content!

Is there a keyboard shortcut for the counterspell symbols? I'm on a laptop using a touchpad and it's basically impossible to counter any spells.

I use NWjs for the browser shell. Not electron. Watersports should be almost entirely ignorable. If you don’t pee or cast the pee spell on others, it should never really come up.

Hex is neither a prequel or sequel to Succubus Stories. It takes place in a separate world and there are no direct connections between the games.

I’m working on am Android port for SS. That will come out sometime in 2026. After that, I may make on one for Hex, too, depending on how it goes. That said, note that the web build is mobile friendly and the browser build works with JoiPlay, so you can play on Android right now pretty easily.

How long does it take for the Patreon ver be public ver?
The Patreon version gets smaller updates between major updates, then the major updates are exclusive for one week.
Counterspell feels very much like it was designed for a touchscreen and not K&M. I cannot do a 5 part counterspell, period, and 4 parts are very hard. I've tuned my mouse sensitivity as best as I can and its just not possible
It is intended to be more challenging than the other defenses, but I am making some changes. In the current Patreon version the interaction now respects easy mode, and I also adjusted the timing a bit across the board. I also intend to add keyboard bindings for it, that’ll likely be in the next free release. I am able to do it on K&M but I made the game so I’m a poor judge of how hard or easy anything is, and many people have complained about it, so it’s definitely too hard.
I cannot thank you enough for adding a Yuri mode. Quite honestly, the sight of dicks is a huge turnoff for me, so adding the option to turn off all straight content is such a nice change. I think you should add more scenes and poses for Yuri content, and maybe even remove the anal, vaginal, and oral goals so Yuri mode players have a way to get the SP. You don't have to do this, because I already really appreciate that you added the mode.
I can definitely refine it and improve it in the future. Addressing the SP disparity is probably a good idea, but as the game matures and more and more goals get added, the amount of SP you miss in yuri mode will become less and less of a big deal, so it might just work itself out in the long run, but I’ll think about it. Adding more CGs is likely for all encounter types, including lesbian content. I also plan to add more encounter types, some of which will be lesbian or have lesbian only versions. For example, I plan to add a soap-land style “massage” encounter, which will have a lesbian version.

Yeah, it probably will. I don’t have any solid plans for bringing it to Steam at this time, but I’ll probably bring it to Steam once it’s done, or I may even do EA if I think the game is ready for it and I feel like I can do it in a way that’s fair to my patrons and free players. But nothing is for sure, yet.

Are there any plan for more Melia corruption too in the future? Even after getting pretty high sex stats, she still question Iris actions, i wish she could get a little more lewd with the more sex stats you got.
This is planned, and there are some subtle effects right now, though Meila’s invisible corruption meter is it’s own value and not connected to your sex skill. She’ll probably always be a tsundere about it, but I do plan for her reactions to change more substantially over time from disgusted to nonchalant to (eventually) begrudgingly interested.

Is there a reason why both your game are less heavy on browser than windows ? Less content in browser perhaps ?
What does “less heavy” mean in this context? The same amount of content is in the hosted, downloadable browser, and windows versions for both games, though the Windows versions of Hex are the only ones with 4k art assets.
windows is 1GB while browser is 445MB
Ah, yeah that’s just cause the game needs a wrapper to run in without the browser. That extra fiel size is just the shell the game runs in. It’s sort of like a little stripped down mini web browser that’s dedicated just to running a single web app. Also with Hex there are additionally 4k assets only in the windows version.
Please make the android version
I’m trying, it’s slow going. A native Android port of SS is hopefully coming sometime next year. If that goes well, then Hex will get a native port…someday. It’s not a big priority for me given that both games are already pretty easily playable on Android (and iOS, for that matter).
i would really like if you could load saves in middle of encounters (not save, but just load them would be pretty neat), that and having it so that you can advance actions, by clicking anywhere when in for example combat would make the parry system a lot more smoother, however the game is incredibly fun, and i will definitely be beating this
that would probably break the game, unfortunately. you can hit U to bring up the quitting menu, then go back to the title screen and reload a save from there, though.
Also, there is a setting to make it so clicking anywhere will allow you to advance.

I went to the throne realm to get the reward from Meila after fighting the witch but i can't talk to her, only cuddle and it doesn't do anything. Help.
just leave and rest for a couple time periods and go back. there’s a cooldown for how often you can interact with her

The game loads game assets into memory (the web versions download these from a CDN, the windows versions load them from the an archive in the game’s files). Processing and loading these files takes some time. If the time it takes is longer than the transition period between game screens (about 50ms) then a load screen is generated. After the load screen is generated, once the files finish loading, a button you can click to continue is added to the screen. It’s sometimes the case that the assets take longer than 50ms but not that much longer, maybe only 100ms or something. If this happens, it can sometimes appear that the button is there from the start. Maybe I’ll adjust this in the future, but it’s totally harmless.

How do I download Latest Update? is this version the latest?
Yes, this page will always contain the latest release of the free edition. I also personally keep the Newgrounds version up to date. All other versions may be behind.
The patron edition is currently on the same version as the free edition, but a patron-only update is coming in a few days, but any patron-only content will get added to the free edition during the next major update.
To update, just download the new version. If you’re on the same build and the same device (and the same browser for the offline browser and web versions), saves should automatically transfer. You can manually export and import save states with the “save to/load from disk” options in the save menu if necessary or to transfer systems or browsers, though.
So if i have the gold edition, should i switch to this version?
No, the gold edition is one of the premium editions and has more stuff in it.
The gold edition seems to have been removed from Itch and as such i am unable to update the game as it says it no longer exists. How would i be able to get future updates? This is the same for Succubus Stories. I have the Patreon edition but it also seems to have been removed from Itch.
Are you a current patron? You have to be a patron to access the premium editions. Sometimes when players are unable to link their patreon and itch accounts, I send them game keys, but I periodically revoke these keys if the associated patreon acct appears to no longer be a patron. If this was done in mistake, please message me on Patreon and I’ll send you new keys!
If you are no longer a patreon, you can keep up with the games free editions instead. The premium editions get new content first and have some special features, but the free editions both get all the content eventually.

In general, I recommend keeping her sanctioned with holy magic if you aren’t already. That alone will make your life a lot easier and is probably the most important thing you can do to keep her from killing you with fires of hatred.

Idk if u have beaten her or not but if u havnt this is what I did
:go to ranbol and farm money through prostitution
Once u have a lot of money, go to the guy that sells potions
Get the discount by sucking him off
Buy a lot and I mean a lot of health potions and health potion+ bc there's one attack does does like 90% of ur hp
Spam flash tits so lust stack prevents from attacking when needed
Once u take dmg, pop a health potion cos u will need the HP to tank the 90% dmg
(I used lightning and dark magic) Hope it rains and spam lighting abilities except energy untill there is enough stacks of bleeding since there's 1 attack in dark that deals more dmg for every bleed stack. Spam and pray u win (don't let ur hp go below 90% or you'll lose and rng for CRIT dmg

There should be a button to exit the scene editor at the bottom. If you mean you ran bad code in the editor, you can usually press the

You need to complete [Holy Magic Arc: Mistress of Calamity], which will unlock kissing. After that you can unlock some foot stuff. I plan to make the progression less linear soon though so that not unlocking the kissing isn’t as big of a deal.
How do I get the outfit with the vines covering her
You can unlock this as a skill for SP after acquiring Dryad magic. Purchasing the skill let’s you summon the outfit when naked, but you can also just put it on in the wardrobe.
How to get to the beach?
You need to complete [Holy Magic Arc: A Warm Welcome] and [Sky Magic Arc: Adjudicating Adjuncts] and a new option should appear in Ranbol.

No. Yuri mode is permanent, but no content is actually removed. You can alter the rate for female customers in the settings, and the only change that can’t be ignored is the essence potions replacing semen flasks.
