Succubus Stories is coming to Steam! It will most likely release in September 2025, around the time of the game’s 5th anniversary!

It’ll be $5.99, though there will be a 20% discount on launch! The Steam Edition is a unique edition that features some Patreon-exclusive content. Compared to the Patron Edition:

• The Steam Edition grants players access to all previously-released Patreon-exclusive outfits.
• Other outfits must be unlocked in the same manner as in the free edition.
• Cheat mode and the “convenience features” like the ability to toggle emergencies will not be available in the Steam edition, but the console and mod support will, so cheating will still be possible.
• The Patron Edition will still get new content first, at least a week early. Future Patreon-exclusive content and outfits will come to the Steam Edition, though.
• I’ve already integrated the Steam SDK into the game engine, so some Steam features will be supported, like for example achievements. I don’t think I’ll bother with cloud saves or workshop support, though, since the way SS manages saves and mods would make these both a bit difficult to implement. But never say never.

Patrons and the Steam Edition

Patrons will receive keys to the Steam Edition, which will be distributed via the Patron Edition’s Itch.io page. Owners of the Patron Edition will be able to request a Steam key for a limited time (probably about a month) after the game launches. If you miss this window and were a Patron before the game’s Steam launch and previously paid more than the price of the game via Patreon (greater than or equal to $5.99), you can message me on Patreon for a key, though, and I’ll send you one.

I know this is a bit of an awkward way of doing things, and I’m not trying to nickle-and-dime anyone, but making the Steam keys opt-in like this makes things easier on me, since there’s simply no easy way to automatically distribute keys via Patreon. My preference would be to just have Patreon send a free Steam key to every person who’s paid more than $5.99 before the release of the game, but there’s no way to do that other than to manually email individual Steam keys to around 2100 people, many of whom may not even really care that much about getting the Steam version, and I don’t think that’s a good use of my time. So I’ll make it opt-in instead. Sorry for the inconvenience.
