Okay, that one is somehow even less timely than Jar Jar Binks. I swear I’ll stop now. Anyway.

Hex: Becoming a Succubus is getting v0.1.0 soon. Hopefully sometime in mid-March. When it releases, I will also be updating the Patreon tiers and prices as described in this post. Note that prices will go up for current patrons!

This update will come to all versions of the game on the same day, however, the silver and gold editions will receive future updates one week early, similar to how SS worked. Nothing about SS is changing all patrons paying $3 and up will get access to the patron edition and one-week early access to updates.

While I’ll still call v0.1.0 by its version number for now, going forward, I will not be publicly listing version numbers if I can avoid it (they will still appear in the changelog). Like Succubus Stories, every update will have a title, so I’ll be using the titles exclusively when promoting Hex.

Anyway. That one shouldn’t count because it was illustrative of the point being made. Anyway.

This update will be a bit of a soft relaunch for Hex, as we’re transitioning from SS. You could envision it sort of like this:

You could probably even call it NTR if you wanted me to get canceled.

Anyway, transitioning projects is a little scary for me, because I’m worried something like this could happen to me:

What will the new version of Hex be like?

Well, coming out of alpha is a big deal. Don’t worry, saves from the alpha will carry over, but you may want to start over again since it’s been so long. The update will come with a whole new location (a big town) to explore with several new events and activities, as well as a lot of sub-locations, like a public bath, a brothel, a marketplace, and more.

There will be several new storylines (i.e., arcs) to pursue, new gameplay mechanics, a brand new exhibitionism-themed encounter type, some new stuff you can do with/to Meila in the throne realm (this was asked for a lot), and a lot more. Mostly it’s just more Hex, so if you like the direction the game was going in, you’ll probably like the update a lot (I hope).
