My RAM usage spikes pretty hard sometimes, even with the fast graphics setting enabled. I'm not sure if it just doesn't properly save across sessions or something, but I'm pretty sure it only happened when it was raining but only sometimes. It's noticeable since my laptop's bad so when it uses enough the game just freezes.
I feel like using the april fools gacha slightly spoiled my experience, since it means you can completely ignore a lot of the progression measures (it gives you like 10 times the items you'd obtain in the same amount of time without it) and it wasn't telegraphed that it'd do that (since you get access to it before you see how much stuff you can get normally). But I ended up barely using items in combat (a few MP heals when a battle begins and I was at low MP, and some health pots for Astraea are the only important ones, I think) since combat is easy anyway, lag from the above issue aside.
Combat balance is a pretty tricky topic that I'm sure you'll need to finetune more in the future, but I spent most of my time running Holy/Sky. Holy felt like a must-take, perhaps partially due to game mechanics not being telegraphed enough--I'm not sure if "you can only counterspell a sanctioned enemy" means it just hits you without you getting a chance to counter it, but I assumed that that was the case and thus always started every battle with sanctioning the enemy since not getting hit is useful. And then Sky is just absurdly OP compared to everything else, of course; I think it definitely needs its wounds infliction reduced.
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah the rain effect seems to be more expensive than I thought, so it’s something I’m considering adjusting, though I admit it’s currently pretty low priority. Yeah the gacha was a little busted I suppose, sorry if it spoiled your experience.
You can indeed only counter spells if the enemy is sanctioned, that means exactly what it sounds like, if the enemy isn’t sanctioned, you will just take the magic damage without any counter opportunity in most cases. However, with a very small number of exceptions, only a few bosses and boss-like enemies can actually use spells. That said, the demon fights more or less require Holy magic. There’s also a mantra that allows you to counterspell without sanctioning enemies. Nightsea magic also has an effect that allows you to perform counterspells if you meet certain requirements related to auras.
Sky is very good. I may nerf the wounds it inflicts. I think it’s weaker pound-for-pound in terms of damage output than more damage-focused spell schools though, so the tradeoff to the MP regen and rather comfy playstyle is longer fights. I do think it’s possible it’s too strong, though. Like you said, the game is pretty easy, so something comfortable to use and with a lot of utility is maybe too good to pass up.
It’s possible there’s too much emphasis on flawless victory and not enough on fast clears, and maybe that flattens the game’s strategy a bit too much. Maybe adding a bonus for ending fights within a small number of turns would be a good way to incentivize different, slightly riskier builds.
The game is really well-written and has great characters and a fun gameplay system. I know it's still pretty early in development so any complaints I have are just stuff I'd like to see to be clear. I would also like for the day cycle and time passage mechanics to have more importance and actually have enough consequence to factor into decision-making. In a similar vein I'd like mana management to be more prevalent, perhaps by repeated sex in combination with time passing without rest causing some kind of strain or stamina loss. MP gain from Attendants also need to be seriously nerfed. Your sexual stats and how they level are not really explained, and on a similar Spirit Kin are not given a proper explanation in terms gameplay or story. The game lets you set your gender preferences which I like a lot but there isn't any options for fetish preferences; you can avoid interacting with most of the fetishes if you don't want to but the option would still be nice, especially since piss shows up so often. Finally, the sex scenes are pretty good in a vacuum, but sex scenes with non-story-important npcs currently all use the same art for each that doesn't account for the different npc appearances. Creating some alts with different skin tones and hair color shouldn't be too hard and the differences wouldn't need to be too detailed since unimportant npcs themselves all are variations of the same character template.
I really really enjoyed what the game has so far to be clear, and the only reason I have so much to say about what I want changed is because I really think this game has the potential to exceed all my expectations. Excited to see future updates!

A hard mode is coming, but I don’t want to just scale damage and HP, I’d like to actually make changes that reward good play like good aura management and clever spell combinations while punishing ‘bad’ play much more harshly. That’ll take time to develop, and honestly it’s not really a major priority right now. That said, a simpler hard mode for the interim might be a good idea. As far as buffs and nerfs, that’s a moving target. I actually just buffed Lunar in the last patch. I agree in general that Sky is too strong. I think Holy is okay, but it does overperform in some fights, but it’s also sort of supposed to.

Some sort of penalty for repeated sex without a break isn’t a bad idea. I’m a bit wary of forcing the player to like sleep or rest, but penalizing players for doing sex encounters back-to-back-to-back does make sense. I’m curious about why attendants seem to need a nerf to you in specific. They generally should give the same MP as anyone else, afaik.

These systems are under construction right now, so they’re not fully explained. In the future, the sex stats will give you special abilities and very small stat bonuses, while the Spirit Kin will basically function almost as upgradeable equipment, if that makes sense.
The game lets you set your gender preferences which I like a lot but there isn’t any options for fetish preferences; you can avoid interacting with most of the fetishes if you don’t want to but the option would still be nice, especially since piss shows up so often.
I go back and forth on whether discreet options are necessary when I feel like most extra kinky stuff is optional well-labeled, but you’re not the first to ask for it, so it’s something I’ll consider!
Finally, the sex scenes are pretty good in a vacuum, but sex scenes with non-story-important npcs currently all use the same art for each that doesn’t account for the different npc appearances.
I do think some different variations of generic CGs could be a good idea, just for some variety, but honestly, I’ll probably just have additional sets of CGs added rather than matching it to the specific appearance of the random NPCs. For certain reasons related to how I programmed various systems, it would be annoying to try to match the appearance of most unnamed NPCs to specific sets of CGs. That said, never say never.

To clarify about the Attendants, it's because once you have the spell that lets you teleport to the Throne Room you can regain mana with them at any time. Admittedly it might not be necessary to nerf them if my other suggestion for preventing mana regen abuse is implemented but they are an incredibly free source of mana as-is
After some time I have my thoughts a little more in order and can give more detailed feedback. These are just ideas I have for how these things could be changed, feel free to disregard them if you have ideas you like more lol
Holy magic is mostly fine but Purge specifically feels a bit too strong, taking out roughly half the health of non-boss enemies when used on turn one. Maybe have it do reduced damage to non-demon enemies so that other magic sources can compete in terms of damage. Sky magic might need its MP regen scaled back, but my main concern is actually the fact being Embued can so easily generate wounds. It doesn't necessarily outpace Black and Dryad magic, but it does enough to make them feel less necessary when Sky magic is already so strong in other things it does. I think making it so it can only inflict wounds on enemies that already have wounds would make it feel more like a compliment to those magic types than a replacement. Lunar magic might be fine where it is but I think it would be cool if it had it's own version of Sky being able to proc storms or create them in the overworld. Maybe being able to create a temporary area of "nightime" that only lasts for that fight, with the unique unlockable ability to cast an out-of-combat spell for it immediately before a fight. That might be hard to program though, so it might not be feasible, and admittedly it's just an idea I thought would be cool more than an actual balance suggestion. Finally, while I didn't always use it I noticed that with a fully upgraded Abilities Lust is incredibly easy to build up to the point enemies basically never get a turn. There are a few ways I could think to balance this, like some enemies being resistant to Lust build-up and/or losing more Lust stacks per turn, being able to clear them like demons with Sanction, or even being outright immune (zombies and undead mainly. This isn't that necessary for balance but it would feel more immersive to not be able to make a literal corpse horny). Another idea I have that could work in tandem with the other proposed nerfs is having Lust decrease by a percentage when it procs a turn skip in addition to its usual per-turn decrease. My only reservation is that if these changes get implemented Madness might just end up replacing Lust as the op status effect, but the main reason I'm currently more concerned with Lust is that you always have access to it via your Abilities while Madness requires equipping Lunar and/or Starsea. Maybe Madness might need to be adjusted too in the future, but for now I just don't want it to feel like it's stuck as weaker than Lust as a debuff and worse for mana regen than Embued. Maybe capping the flinch chance at 50% but having additional stacks above 50 still improve the mana regen? The more I think about it the more I realize that debuffs that can make enemies skip turns are really hard to balance and I might not be the right person to figure them out, so take this last section with even more grains of salt than the rest of my ideas lol
No, this version features a ton more content. The Steam demo is based around the old alpha version of the game and probably only accounts for about 20% or so of the content available in the other versions of the game right now.
When the Steam EA version of the game releases it will have roughly the same amount of content to the other versions of the game, along with some premium features. You should be able to transfer your save from the Steam demo and keep playing here to experience the rest of the game so far.

Ran into what seems like a bug during both phases of the Astraea fight though: Nightsea 3 doesn’t allow for counterspell with the seafoam on caster + madness on target mechanic. Couldn’t get her to trigger the counterspell mechanic without explicitly using holy magic + sanction stacks.
Can be replicated on the gemma replay and the astraea replay as well.
Hi if you read this i was wondering do you plan on adding a futanari spell into the game at some point i haven't gotten to far so if there already is one please let me know also mabye a tentacle spell or one the transforms you into an animal girl like a wolf girl amazing game so far btw
Futanari is planned! Animal peoples are not planned as a transformation, but we may add like catgirls/boys or something like that in the future. Tentacle stuff could be interesting, maybe. It’s not planned, but it’s a cool idea.
It’s asynchronous, indirect multiplayer but the classification here on itch is too limited to represent that properly. I chose the classification I believe best reflects the game’s multiplayer.
You can’t directly play like a two-player mode, though. Instead, players create custom NPC servants that can visit other players’ games to sell things and have sex with them.
I'm playing the web version on mobile, and for some reason spirit deflection is impossible, no matter how much I mash. Do I need to mash a specific place on the screen?
EDIT: Nvm, I was using the "hold instead of mashing" setting, and it apparently doesn't work for spirit deflections
I can't seem to accomplish the goal to give birth in public. I've given birth in the village with people around commenting on it, but it didn't achieve the goal. Is there something specific that I need to do and didn't or is the goal bugged?
After a while of just doing whatever I got a message that it was time to give birth, and that you might want to go to the chapel or the throne dimension place. Go to either location and there's just straight up an option you can select to give birth. To give birth somewhere else seems to be harder to do. I've spent a LONG time just saying "explore" to pass time in the city and not given birth. But I've also just gotten the message that I'm ready to give birth, traveled to the village, and then immediately given birth. It seems like the village is just easier to trigger the give birth cutscene for some reason. But, again, if you're not looking for the give birth in public accomplishment then just go to the chapel or throne place and select give birth. If you're pregnant and not getting the message that you're ready to give birth then I don't know how to help you. It's happened to me when I travel or say "explore" basically wherever I go. I don't think I've ever gotten it sleeping or doing prostitution or the like, so maybe just limit yourself to passing time via explore and travel?
I also can't get the accomplishments for taking certain people on dates to certain places to show as having been completed. I made sure to not just take the correct person to the correct place, but I did it again to see the shorter version of the date, and the accomplishment still didn't pop.

plus i made sure and got all the skills for the chances ofpregnancy to be higher, i also have master at footjobs, anal, vaginal and blowjobs just to prove how much sex im having while fertile
Both spots? If you’re referring to anal pregnancy that’s not a feature in this game (at least not yet). But if it were, you’d still only be able to do one pregnancy at a time.
I tried to play the game and wanted to use the new code posted too but got a please update this game message. I thought the game automatically updated? how do I fix that? Cannot find an actual way to do it.
Only the web version updates automatically. If you’re using the browser or windows version you have to download the new version. I can sometimes push small new updates or live events from the server, but I still need to update the client from time to time. Just download the game again to update it, all your settings and saves should carry over if you’re on the same system.
maybe a rot weapon/spell, since there's a ton of baked in interaction in other schools? a school with bonuses only during a sunny day with no rain, since there are two for nighttime? literal sun or star magic? an earth school of physical defense?
Rot will be the aura for the “curse” school of magic. It’s not in the game yet but it is planned. It’s actually one of the first magic schools I conceived of so that’s why rot has so many interactions already despite not being available to the player.
A school empowered by the sun is an interesting idea. Earth magic could be cool too.
i don't seem to have puff puff at all? it was there in the alpha, i can buy "puff puff pro", but don't see the skill anywhere, and you don't write about it on the wiki.
just curious, what is the difference between regular edition, silver and Gold? is it just a release time difference or is the content in each edition different?
Basically the premium editions get updates in between major updates, they get early access to major updates, and they get bonus cosmetics. The Gold edition specifically also receives access to the offering box, which gives various bonus items and outfits for free.
But all story and erotic content will eventually come to the free edition.
You can use the save to/load from disk option in the save menu (hotkey: Q) to create a save file and load it into the new build. Note that this isn’t an export/import option; you need to load a save you want to transfer, then save to disk.
I’m not sure. The browser/web versions will work with your browser’s translation tools. As for official translations…we’re a very long way off from that happening.

It is Polish, I think it’s audio from a train station or something. I just grabbed it off the Internet to use, lol. It is CC0, but not really stock audio.
I use NWjs for the browser shell. Not electron. Watersports should be almost entirely ignorable. If you don’t pee or cast the pee spell on others, it should never really come up.

It’s a spell you can buy for SP called Vicis.
I've noticed the rain effect lowers the framerate, at least in the browser version, and the performance boost setting doesn't seem to help with that.
Can you tell me what browser and what kind of system you’re on? Like is it a very old or underpowered system?
My browser is Chrome and I've got an Intel Core i9-14900KF with 64GB of RAM. It's not a huge framerate loss, but it's enough to be noticeable.

Futanari is planned! Animal peoples are not planned as a transformation, but we may add like catgirls/boys or something like that in the future. Tentacle stuff could be interesting, maybe. It’s not planned, but it’s a cool idea.
What does giving birth even do what can you use the spirit for??
You’ll be able to ‘equip’ them in a future update and they’ll provide passives and stat boosts.

It’s asynchronous, indirect multiplayer but the classification here on itch is too limited to represent that properly. I chose the classification I believe best reflects the game’s multiplayer.
You can’t directly play like a two-player mode, though. Instead, players create custom NPC servants that can visit other players’ games to sell things and have sex with them.
I'm playing the web version on mobile, and for some reason spirit deflection is impossible, no matter how much I mash. Do I need to mash a specific place on the screen?
EDIT: Nvm, I was using the "hold instead of mashing" setting, and it apparently doesn't work for spirit deflections

I can't seem to accomplish the goal to give birth in public. I've given birth in the village with people around commenting on it, but it didn't achieve the goal. Is there something specific that I need to do and didn't or is the goal bugged?
how did you give birth? Ive been trying for the longest while and ive got everything i need and ive double checked aswell
After a while of just doing whatever I got a message that it was time to give birth, and that you might want to go to the chapel or the throne dimension place. Go to either location and there's just straight up an option you can select to give birth. To give birth somewhere else seems to be harder to do. I've spent a LONG time just saying "explore" to pass time in the city and not given birth. But I've also just gotten the message that I'm ready to give birth, traveled to the village, and then immediately given birth. It seems like the village is just easier to trigger the give birth cutscene for some reason. But, again, if you're not looking for the give birth in public accomplishment then just go to the chapel or throne place and select give birth. If you're pregnant and not getting the message that you're ready to give birth then I don't know how to help you. It's happened to me when I travel or say "explore" basically wherever I go. I don't think I've ever gotten it sleeping or doing prostitution or the like, so maybe just limit yourself to passing time via explore and travel?

I also can't get the accomplishments for taking certain people on dates to certain places to show as having been completed. I made sure to not just take the correct person to the correct place, but I did it again to see the shorter version of the date, and the accomplishment still didn't pop.

I would check the status menu (hotkey: A) to make sure you really aren’t pregnant, and also to make sure you are indeed fertile.
yea, it just shows that iris if fertile, no signs of pregnancy.
plus i made sure and got all the skills for the chances ofpregnancy to be higher, i also have master at footjobs, anal, vaginal and blowjobs just to prove how much sex im having while fertile

Both spots? If you’re referring to anal pregnancy that’s not a feature in this game (at least not yet). But if it were, you’d still only be able to do one pregnancy at a time.

I tried to play the game and wanted to use the new code posted too but got a please update this game message. I thought the game automatically updated? how do I fix that? Cannot find an actual way to do it.
Only the web version updates automatically. If you’re using the browser or windows version you have to download the new version. I can sometimes push small new updates or live events from the server, but I still need to update the client from time to time. Just download the game again to update it, all your settings and saves should carry over if you’re on the same system.

Rot will be the aura for the “curse” school of magic. It’s not in the game yet but it is planned. It’s actually one of the first magic schools I conceived of so that’s why rot has so many interactions already despite not being available to the player.
A school empowered by the sun is an interesting idea. Earth magic could be cool too.
i don't seem to have puff puff at all? it was there in the alpha, i can buy "puff puff pro", but don't see the skill anywhere, and you don't write about it on the wiki.

Basically the premium editions get updates in between major updates, they get early access to major updates, and they get bonus cosmetics. The Gold edition specifically also receives access to the offering box, which gives various bonus items and outfits for free.
But all story and erotic content will eventually come to the free edition.

You can use the save to/load from disk option in the save menu (hotkey: Q) to create a save file and load it into the new build. Note that this isn’t an export/import option; you need to load a save you want to transfer, then save to disk.

I’m not sure. The browser/web versions will work with your browser’s translation tools. As for official translations…we’re a very long way off from that happening.

Is there a keyboard shortcut for the counterspell symbols? I'm on a laptop using a touchpad and it's basically impossible to counter any spells.

I use NWjs for the browser shell. Not electron. Watersports should be almost entirely ignorable. If you don’t pee or cast the pee spell on others, it should never really come up.
